EBA publishes methodology and scenarios for 2016 EU-wide bank stress test

Press release

EBA publishes methodology and scenarios for 2016 EU-wide bank stress test

Published: 24 February 2016 Last updated: 11 February 2020 Document number: 6/2016

The European Banking Authority (EBA) today published its methodology and scenarios for the 2016 EU-wide bank stress test. The stress test covers 51 European banks, among them the Norwegian DNB Bank Group.

As the EBA macroeconomic scenarios are confined to European Union member states, they do not include all the relevant numbers for Norway. The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway (Finanstilsynet) has therefore in cooperation with the Central Bank of Norway (Norges Bank) supplemented the information from the EBA (see enclosure).
