Reporting
Mandatory reporting
Reporting of KRT-1003 is mandatory for all entities covered by the reporting obligation. Finanstilsynet can order compliance with this reporting and can impose a cumulative fine that runs for each day that passes after the expiry of the deadline., cf. the Securities Trading Act section 19-10 (1).
Reporting in the Altinn website
All issuers shall report KRT-1003 electronically in Altinn. In Altinn, the form is located in the inbox of the company for which the report is to be made. More information about this can be found at Altinn support, please see the link below.
Issuers that are not incorporated in Norway will need to register a user in Altinn. Exemption from reporting
Entities whose securities were delisted after the end of the year, can apply for exemption from the reporting obligation by contacting Finanstilsynet by email: KRT1003-rapportering@finanstilsynet.no.
Entities with financial years not ending on 31 December should contact Finanstilsynet for clarification of the time schedule for filing KRT-1003 using the same email address.
Guidance for KRT-1003 questions
The guidance contains all the questions and answer options that will be contained in this year's KRT-1003. Guidance notes and explanations for questions are included where relevant. To make it easier for companies to delegate tasks and responsibilities related to the form, the guidance is published in both PDF and Excel. Finanstilsynet reserves the right to make minor changes to the form prior to publication in Altinn, estimated to be on 10 March 2026.
Background for KRT-1003 reporting
- Finanstilsynet carries out financial reporting oversight of companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (Oslo Børs/Euronext Expand) that issue shares, and bonds, and that have Norway as their home state, cf. the Securities Trading Act section 19 -1 (2).
- Each year Finanstilsynet will review a selection based, amongst other factors, on a risk assessment. Due to this, Finanstilsynet requires a yearly report (KRT-1003) from all issuers of listed securities which have Norway as their home state; see the Norwegian Securities Trading Regulations section 17-5 (2). The KRT-1003 reporting forms the basis for Finanstilsynet's risk-based selection of entities to be controlled.
