Finanstilsynet warns against investment services from Altvecto, TradeInch and TradeToday

Finanstilsynet has received information that the online trading platforms Altvecto, TradeInch and TradeToday are being marketed to Norwegian consumers.

Finanstilsynet wishes to draw attention to the fact that none of the platforms is authorised to provide investment services in Norway and therefore does not hold the authorisation required under Norwegian law. This means that the services offered through these websites are neither supervised nor authorised by Finanstilsynet. Finanstilsynet therefore advises investors not to enter into agreements with or transfer funds or other assets to Altvecto, TradeInch or TradeToday.

The platforms are marketed, among other things, through advertisements on social media that appear to contain endorsements or recommendations from well-known individuals and established financial institutions. Potential investors are subsequently contacted by individuals presenting themselves as investment advisers and are encouraged to open an account and deposit funds. Information received by Finanstilsynet also indicates that investors may be asked to install software (AnyDesk) that enables others to gain remote access to their computers.

Investors should exercise particular caution when approached by entities that promise high returns, use aggressive marketing on social media or encourage them to install remote access software. Finanstilsynet recommends that investors verify whether an entity holds the necessary authorisation before transferring funds or entering into agreements for investment services.
