Finanstilsynet to use Oslo Børs announcement system
As from March 2012 Finanstilsynet is using the Oslo Børs announcement system to publish its final letters in matters arising from its supervision of listed companies' financial reporting.
This arrangement is designed to bring these matters to the attention of the market and to promote information symmetry.
Finanstilsynet will publish the letters at the earliest three working days after they have been sent to the companies involved. The arrangement does not affect companies' obligation to publish, immediately and of their own accord, inside information that directly relates to the issuer in keeping with the provisions of the Securities Trading Act.
Use of the system ensures that letters will be distributed to news agencies and subscribers, and will appear on newsweb.no.
Finanstilsynet's notifications will be readily retrievable on newsweb.no. Finanstilsynet will feature as an "issuer" with its own "ticker" and notification category. Notifications will contain a link to Finanstilsynet's website where the letters are stored.
